First Impression:

I was not expecting this many products. When I opened the box I thought – oh no my review is going to be 8 days long – just kidding, I actually thought – holy crap I can’t wait to review all of these items! Here’s the first product:

Resource Natural Spring Water

20141028_193200

Well, it tastes like water – so that’s a plus! It’s nothing special in the taste department, but it serves it watery purpose. It does say that it also includes electrolytes and the bottle is made with 50% recycled plastic. I liked that there were 23.7 fluid ounces, though. It seemed like the perfect amount.

Retail Value: $1.49

Puffs Basic SoftPack

First of all, I loved the pattern. The colors match my bathroom perfectly.

Influenster folks, have you been stalking me? I mean, seriously…

I’ve used Puffs tissues before, but never their softpack. And, I’m not sure if they were lightly scented, but they smelled pleasant and unlike other tissues that just smell…papery. The tissues themselves were very soft, which we all look for in tissues with the oncoming flu season.

Well, so far tonight you’ve gotten papery and watery as descriptors. I promise the next few reviews will be better.

Retail Value: 1 pack for $1.99-$2.49 / 3 pack for $4.99-$5.99

JERGENS Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer

20141028_193225

I’ve used some Jergens products in the past, but they were never really memorable for me. This Ultra Healing moisturizer was different, however. The packaging wasn’t too big or too small for hand cream. The color and style was meh, but what really rocked me was the scent. It was very light. Sometimes hand creams can be too strong, but this was a pleasant surprise. The consistency was light as well and it soaked into your skin rather quickly. It does leave behind the feeling that your hands are actually moisturized, though, which is important.

Retail Value: $5.99/$6.99

Hair Food Moisture Hair Mask

20141028_193858

First impression-holy crap does this smell good. Ugh. I want to put it in my oatmeal. (I guess this is why they call it “Hair Food” eh?) The packaging screams, “I’m a hair product,” which can be a good thing or bad thing. It reminds me of John Frieda products for some reason. Some great things about this product is that it’s Paraben Free and Mineral Oil Free. The consistency is really light, it doesn’t make your hair feel gross, and it’s not oily.

Retail Value: $14.99

Swiss Miss Simply Cocoa

First impression – YUMMY. Honestly, they are marketing this as only having five ingredients and you can tell. It tastes so much better than other store bought individual packaged cocoa I’ve had in a while. It’s fresher. It tastes like rich milk chocolate (and I’m not usually a fan of milk chocolate). My sad point about this product? I didn’t have any marshmallows when I tried it! Boo!

Retail Value: $2.29

Okay…you might have noticed…I saved the best for last because I LOVE MAKEUP. No way, right?

Rimmel Scandaleyes Rockin’ Curves Mascara

Here’s a picture of me using all of the Rimmel products in the Moda VoxBox:

I love the packaging. It’s sexy and black and red are my colors. They are advertising how great the curved applicator is, but I had a hard to figuring it out. Since it’s curved strangely, I didn’t know which side to use, but I got it after a second. It really is “extreme black” in color. Although, I usually use Benefits They’re Real mascara, which Scandaleyes can’t be compared too. It didn’t make my lashes as thick as I wanted, but it’s definitely a good product.

Retail Value: $5.49-$5.99

Rimmel Moisture Renew in “Red Alert”

20141028_071616

My first impression was of the color – it was SO bright. The shade name definitely fits the description. The picture I took really doesn’t do it justice. I wore it yesterday and today to see how well it would last. Yesterday I didn’t blot and wore it with the translucent lip liner. The result was it got over everything-my hands, bottles, and food. It stays pliant for a while, which is what they were looking for in the Moisture Renew product line. However, when I blotted it today it has been much better about not seeping around my lip line and getting on things. I just wanted to see the difference.

Retail Value: $6.99-$7.49

Rimmel Translucent Moisture Renew Universal Lipliner

I’m going to start by saying, I don’t really like lip liner. I feel like it’s a hassle and often dries out my lips. This product, however, worked just how I would want a lip liner to work. I felt it fill in the cracks of my lips like a primer and it didn’t immediately dry and make me want to slather chapstick on my face. Combined with the lipstick it feels very light and I definitely think it helped to make it last.

Retail Value: $5.99-$6.49

Disclaimer: I received all of these products for free from Influenster.com. I was not paid for this review. All opinions are my own.
