If you know me at all, you probably know how obsessed I am with my dog, Igby. That’s why I was SO STOKED when Ashley from Oh Pudge! wrote to me about a collaboration. Meet Oh Pudge!

Ashley, the owner of Oh Pudge!, began sewing here and there while she was getting her degree in social work, but didn’t really settle into her love for it until she had her son. Being a mom, sewing became her escape from changing poopy diapers and dealing with tantrums. In those first few years, she refined her sewing skills by working on curtains and wallets. Then, after the birth of her second child (a little girl), she got to dive into the world of cute dresses and playing with patterns. She took on sewing projects for her friends and was often met with the response, “You should open an Etsy shop!” But with her busy schedule, she worried she wouldn’t have time to keep up with the pace.

Once her kids had grown up a bit and Ashley found herself with a bit more free time, Oh Pudge! began to take shape. Having grown frustrated with heavy store-bought nylon collars that stained her two shelties white fur, she decided to make her own. She created a few simple fabric collars and put them on her pups. A few weeks later, after boarding her dogs, everyone at the dog-care center was raving about how much they loved her collars! That’s when she realized that making collars were the perfect fit for her. Aside from satisfying her animal-lover instinct, collars are a small enough project to be worked on during her small windows of work time (while the kiddos nap) and it allows her to keep a large selection of fun fabrics around to choose from! Plus, she can make them for a super affordable price. So, everybody wins!

All Oh Pudge! collars are 100% fabric (nylon-free) – so they’re safe for pets with allergies. They’re machine washable, light-weight, and seriously adorable. She loves taking on custom orders, too, so you’re sure to find the perfect collar for your pet.

I was eventually able to get a few cute shots, though! How adorable is he in his new collar? This style is called “Them Bones Them Bones.” We are in love with how punk he looks!
