SBSGG | Anchored Archer

This week’s addition to the Small Business Saturday Gift Guide is a beautiful Etsy shop called Anchored Archer, specializing in Victorian-, Edwardian-, and Art Nouveau-inspired wire-wrapped and beaded jewelry.

Meet Anchored Archer

christmas partyIf there’s one thing I can tell you about Danielle, the owner of Anchored Archer, it’s that she’s one busy lady. A mechanical engineer by day and color guard instructor / jewelry maker by night, she leads a busy life. And that’s exactly how she likes it! In fact, she only began making jewelry after college when she realized that she had trouble just sitting still and watching TV. With no more homework to do, she needed something to keep her hands busy and that’s how she got into jewelry design.

Danielle has always loved jewelry. She used to go to antique shops every weekend with her mom and was always enamored by the trays of sparking jewelry. So, naturally, when she began making her own, she had plenty of inspiration. Her dream is to one day open a brick and mortar jewelry and antique store with her mom. Also, she wouldn’t mind having some of her statement pieces worn in movies or shows like Downton Abbey. (Downton Abbey costume designers, hit her up!!)

“I like to think that my designs take traditional techniques and propel them into the modern day with unique twists.” – Danielle

A glimpse into the jewelry-making process!

Danielle was kind enough to send me a beautiful piece from her shop to review, as well as offer free shipping to all of you for any order over $50! Just use the coupon code BLOGFREESHIP at checkout.

IMG_0477I was sent “Chasing Sunsets,” a Garnet and Gold-filled Station Necklace. This piece was originally designed for Danielle’s grandmother, whose birthstone is garnet (as is mine!). I just can’t get over how beautiful it is!

The necklace is made up of three clusters of smooth and faceted Garnet beads encased in 24k gold-plated seed beads. It’s strung on a gold-filled cable chain with a gold-filled lobster clasp, and measures approximately 16 inches in length. It’s seriously gorgeous.

Here’s a closer look at the beading.

I think what blows me away the most about the jewelry at Anchored Archer is how intricate it all is. You can just tell how much work goes into it and how much she cares about the quality of her items. I think it’s because of the high quality that wearing this necklace feels like such a luxury!

Anchored Archer jewelry would make an incredible gift for someone special who deserves some truly one-of-a-kind jewelry! She makes necklaces, earrings, and jewelry sets. She also loves to take on custom orders, whether it’s for a special gift or creating sets for a bride and her bridesmaids. Her current items range from $20-250, so there’s something there for all budgets and styles.

Here are some of my favorite items from her shop:
