There have been a lot of new subscription box companies popping up lately and I’ve been having so much fun learning about them! Blueberry Cove Beads was no exception. This unique subscription box is perfect for the crafters and jewelry-makers – sending you an assortment of themed beads each month (along with a design challenge)! While I’m not much of a jeweler myself, my father is and I figured that regardless of who ended up making it, I could end up with a pretty awesome new piece of jewelry using the beads from my Blueberry Cove Beads box!

For $22/month, Blueberry Cove Beads will send a surprise box of themed beads to your door. This is their first box – and was actually sent to me in December, but I didn’t get it until I returned from my holiday trip, so I apologize for the lateness. December’s theme was Woodland: “From wooden beads to greens and golds, from owls to acorns, it’s time to connect with Nature!”

I was pleasantly surprised by how many beads they included in the box. From what I can gather, beads aren’t cheap. (Are beads cheap?… Okay, I’m done with the Arrested Development references, I promise.) Seriously, though – what a great selection! I feel like there’s really something for everyone in here and I love the variety of beads I had to choose from!

The beads come in a cute little black satin drawstring bag. How adorable is the wooden Blueberry Cove Beads tag?!

In addition to the Woodland-themed beads, they also included a few Christmas beads as an extra for December. The woodland-themed beads ranged from leaves and trees to birds and acorns!

Here’s my favorite part: THE CHALLENGE!
Each month, BCB has a box challenge. All entrants will have a chance to win their next box for free! December’s challenge was to create a necklace using at least 2 components from the box. You can then share your creations on their Facebook, Twitter, or website! How cool is that?! Such a great idea!
